i {heart} faces...'dramatic b&w'

this week at http://iheartfaces.com/ the challenge is 'dramatic black & white'. i asked myself what is dramatic? i googled the definition and came up with: applies to situations in life and literature that stir the imagination and emotions deeply. the photo below 'stirs my emotions deeply' for a couple of reasons...1. the beautiful bride is my cousin, the baby of our family & 2. her father lost a long battle with cancer just 10 months before this photo was taken. to see such joy in its purest form after such pain simply warms my {heart}.

F & J...wedding celebration

This was a very special occassion that I will always cherrish deep in my heart. My baby cousin got married in August to a wonderful guy and they planned a celebration reception the following month. I was fortunate enough to be in attendance and honored that they asked me to take some pix.

L & M...wedding [2nd shooter]

L & M set the stage for a simple & intimate wedding. A small backyard wedding...with enough joy and love to fill the largest of event venues. It was such a treat to witness their two lives join together. It was even better through my lens. And all around wonderful when I'm working side by side with my amazing friend and photographer Summer Montoya. She was kind enough to invite me along on this special day as the 2nd shooter.
